Early Scottish Dirk

Here is another go at the earlier transitional form of the Scottish dirk. While mine is not an exact replica it is more a composite of a few actual pieces. These dirks have blades with strongly triangular shapes and grips that  show a clear evolution from the earlier bollock and dudgeon daggers.   The look of the piece was intended to invoke the original museum artifacts with the ‘beat up’ appearance in the grip. The overall length is 14.5 inches and the blade is 10 inches.

I honestly believe that this is THE best looking dirk I have ever seen. You did an amazing job to make something brand-new look like it came right off the battlefields of old. I salute you, sir. BRAVO!
