Migration Period Ring-Sword

A sword inspired by the ‘ring-swords’ of the Migration Period.  The ring was a symbol of fealty and loyalty to your thane in Germanic culture.  My version has a composite pattern-welded blade made from forging individual bars, twisting them and forge welding them together.  The hilt has iron, old growth black oak salvaged by divers from the bottom of Lake Superior, moose antler and Seymcham meteorite.  While this sword is not considered a replica, it was made in a manner very like the wondrous swords used by the Anglo-Saxons inhabiting the British Isles.
